My full name is Putri Ayu Lestari and I turned 24 last August. Most days start the same way: alarm at 6:50 (I usually hit snooze once), open the curtains a little, then sit on the edge of my bed scrolling through messages and Instagram for maybe ten minutes before I feel ready to stand up. I like that quiet half-hour before everything begins.

I work as a content moderator for an international platform — mostly from my laptop at home here in Yogyakarta. It sounds more serious than it is. I review posts, help keep things safe, drink too much instant coffee, and occasionally smile at the weird memes people share. The job lets me stay home, which I appreciate because I’m not really a morning commuter person.

After work hours I usually walk to the small warung near my kost for dinner — nasi kucing or soto, nothing fancy. I bring my earphones and listen to lo-fi or Raisa or sometimes old Indonesian pop songs from the 2000s that make me feel sixteen again. I walk slowly. I like noticing little things: the way street lights reflect on wet roads after rain, or how the mbok who sells gorengan always remembers I like the one with extra cabbage.

Evenings are quiet. I usually end up on my bed with the laptop open, half-watching a drama, half-scrolling Pinterest or replying to friends. My tea always gets cold because I forget about it. I think I’m okay with that — small forgetfulness feels human.
