Most mornings I wake up around 7:20, even though my alarm is set for 6:50. I scroll through messages and Instagram for about fifteen minutes while still lying down — I know it's not the healthiest habit, but it’s become part of how I gently enter the day. Then I make tea (usually jasmine or chamomile), but half the time I forget about it and it gets cold on the table while I answer emails.

I work remotely as a UI/UX designer for a small digital agency based in Bandung. My laptop is almost always open on the dining table that also doubles as my desk, next to a small potted monstera that somehow survives despite irregular watering. I like days when the brief is clear and I can spend hours moving pixels around, listening to lo-fi or indie Indonesian playlists. On tougher days when feedback keeps coming in circles, I step away, make another tea, and stare out the window at the neighbours' laundry lines.

Evenings are quieter. After work I usually cook something simple — nasi goreng with whatever is left in the fridge, or just telur ceplok and kecap if I'm too tired. I like sitting on the floor with my back against the sofa, watching a drama or reading a book until my eyes feel heavy. Lately I've been enjoying slow rereadings of books I loved years ago; there's something comforting about already knowing how it ends but still feeling the same emotions.

I don't go out a lot during the week, but I really value the few people I talk to regularly. Not big groups or loud plans — just long voice notes, honest conversations about life, work stress, family, or sometimes nothing important at all. Those small, calm connections mean more to me than big events ever did.
